Beverly completed a 2-year course in Christian Formation and Spiritual Direction from CFDM San Diego in 2005 and has been offering Spiritual Direction to individuals and groups ever since. She served on the SDSDA Coordinating Council for 4 years.
Beverly has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration with an emphasis on Developmental Curriculum. She has combined her degree with her training in Spiritual Direction and written several Formational Curriculums. Beverly and her husband of 35 years, El Roy, co-teach these classes: Heart of the Journey (a 9-week experiential approach to Spiritual Formation), Sacred Pathways, Soul Feast, and Spiritual Practices. They have also enjoyed leading contemplative retreats over the past 10 years for high school students, college age students, young adults and older adults.
Beverly has an evangelical background and is a member of Journey Community Church where she and El Roy teach and minister regularly.
Beverly lives in Bonita, CA. She has two adult married children and two very active and adorable grandsons who live close by. Some of Beverly’s most enjoyable pastimes are walking on the beach in Del Mar, reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and taking pilgrimages to spiritually meaningful locations throughout Europe. She and El Roy recently returned from a 3 1/2 week pilgrimage through Italy, where she experienced a deep connection with the nurturing, mother–heart of God through beautiful works of sculpture and painting.
